During my recent business trip to Syracuse, I had the opportunity to stay at the Scala Greca Hotel, a choice made by our director. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's agreement with a private beach at the famous Fontane Bianche coastal region, just 12km away. Being able to relax and unwind on the beautiful beach was a fantastic way to recharge after a long day of work.
Walls are thin, you can hear everything from the room across.

Our stay at Hotel Scala Greca was fabulous. The hotel has character and is situated in a quiet area. The room was spacious and we had free parking outside. It was only a short drive to the center of Syracuse. The staff were friendly and mostly spoke good English. The breakfast spread was tasty, although it leaned towards sweet items. I would highly recommend this hotel.

the rooms were incredibly comfortable and the layout of the hotel was impressive. I loved how quiet it was in the rooms, and being able to enjoy fresh air from the balcony was a nice bonus. the hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful, providing excellent service throughout my stay. the highlight of the experience was the delicious breakfast, particularly the big croissants with cream. It was so satisfying that I almost didn't need to have lunch. Cons: Hard to think of any downsides 🤔.

The location of this hotel was perfect for me. It was near to historical and archeological sites. Additionally, there was a supermarket just a 5 minute walk away. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making sure all my needs were met. Lastly, the breakfast served at this hotel was of high quality and had plenty of options to choose from.
Could not be improved in any way.

This hotel offers great value for money. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the basic amenities provided. The staff were friendly and the service was attentive, making us feel welcome and at home. The rooms were spacious and had a large bathroom with a good hot water supply for comfortable showers.
The location of this hotel is not extremely convenient, as it is a bit far off from the main attractions. However, it is easy to reach Ortigia by car, which compensates for the lack of walking accessibility.

The hotel location is not ideal if you want to explore the city, being quite far from the centre of town. the breakfast is particularly disappointing, with too many sweet options and limited bread. the room and bathroom are clean and recently renovated. the staff is friendly and always willing to assist you. you can enjoy a beautiful view from the balcony, especially if you are lucky enough to have a room facing the garden.
It can be tricky to park your car in the garage, which is quite steep and narrow.

We had a wonderful time on our romantic escape to a hotel in Syracuse. the rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated with a touch of charm. the breakfast spread was superb, with a variety of tasty sweet and savory treats to choose from. the hotel is situated in a quiet location but conveniently located near the main tourist attractions and public transport.
the balcony doors did not secure properly, which made us feel slightly unsafe.

The rooms at Scala Greca were clean and comfortable - offering a great night's sleep. The hotel's location provided easy access to historical and archaeological sites, and there was a supermarket within a 5-minute walk. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast had a lot of choice and good quality. A standout service was the kind and helpful staff - unexpected for a smaller family hotel.
Would definitely recommend.
